Compatibility and Installation
Are SideLights compatible with my bike or scooter?
SideLights is compatible under two conditions:
- The internal diameter (hole in the handlebar) measures at least 15mm, over 13cm in length.
- The angle of the handlebars tending towards the cyclist (backsweep) does not exceed 25 degrees.
I often bump my handlebars, for example when I rub them against a wall. Are SideLights strong enough?
Absolutely! The SideLights body is made of aluminum and we have included replaceable protective pads for better shock absorption. This ensures long-term impact resistance, even in harsh conditions.
I'm afraid my system will be stolen. Is it secure?
Once mounted, SideLights is fixed into the handlebar using a tool. It cannot be removed by hand. The batteries are hidden and have no use outside the product.
Do I need to change grips to mount the SideLights system on my bike?
If you have the ability to access the internal hole of your handlebar with your current grips, you can keep them.
If your handles do not allow any opening at their end, you will need to change the handle.
We also offer a pair of grips and a bike mirror that fit perfectly with all our products! Available during our Kickstarter Campaign.

Yes! Our powerful dual front lights, which provide up to 600 lumens, ensure excellent visibility, allowing you to see the road clearly even in total darkness.
Will I be visible? How many lumens do the lights have?
The SideLights system provides 360-degree visibility, covering the entire width of the bike for maximum safety. Integrated turn signals improve your visibility when changing direction. With over 700 lumens of combined power, you'll be more visible than ever.
Do SideLights replace a conventional lighting system with a front and rear light?
SideLights can replace your existing lighting system or be used as additional lighting. Just make sure to respect the traffic laws in your country and the type of bike you are using.
How to activate the turn signals?
We have a unique interaction button on each side that is very easy to use. You don't need to take your hand off the grip - a simple press while holding the handlebar activates the turn signal.
Does the blinking function replace the hand gesture when changing direction?
Although our turn signals improve your visibility when changing direction, we still recommend using hand gestures.
How to check battery level and lighting mode?
